
Maria Matheou
Maria Matheou is a Junior Professor of Adaptive Structures in Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Institute for Lightweight Structures and Conceptual Design, University of Stuttgart. Her work emphasizes sustainability and technology, exploring how adaptive kinetic architecture can create lightweight, responsive, resource- and energy-efficient buildings that dynamically adjust to environmental conditions, reducing energy consumption and improving occupant comfort while contributing to urban resilience and address climate challenges. She is a licensed architect and the owner of her own atelier in Cyprus since 2010.
