Mario is a Civil Engineer, member of the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers (CICCP) and a Chartered Engineer (CEng) of the Institution of Civil Engineers of UK (ICE). He has dedicated most of his professional career to construction manufacturing, in Spain and UK, and then has moved to promote that within the whole industry, embracing the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) approach in engineering firms, contractors, developers and academia and then as an entrepreneur. After the fatal floods in Valencia region (Spain), his homeland, last October 2024, he joined Fundacion Felisa, as PM of Buildings, with the aim to lead and help the rehabilitation of thousands of houses and buildings affected by the water and mud. His subjects of interest are construction systemization, industrialization, digitization, mass customization, mass rehabilitation, public and private funding, positive impact of construction, ESG programs applied to construction, third sector organizations applied to construction, creation of working ecosystems, the crisis of housing.
