Nihit Borpujari
Nihit Borpujari is an architect trained in computational design research, with extensive experience managing projects of all scales across the Middle East and India. His work spans the design of townships, residences, and healthcare centres, where he has overseen projects from concept to completion on-site. Nihit holds a Master's degree in Computation in Architecture from CITA (Centre for Information Technology and Architecture), where he focused on sustainable design fabrication and machine learning. His research in Machine learning and sustainable design has been published and presented at the eCAADe conference. As Computational Design Circle Lead at SLA, Nihit has been pivotal in developing design processes that enhance the firm's interdisciplinary approach. He works to integrate expertise from various in-house specialists, such as biologists and lighting designers, as well as external consultants, into digital and hybrid modelling tools. This involves leveraging emerging technologies to drive nature-based design solutions, fostering innovation and sustainability in architectural practice.
