Juan Coll-Barreu, PhD MArch, cofounder and director of Madrid and Bilbao-based architecture office COLL-BARREU ARQUITECTOS, professor of architectural design and director of Coll-Barreu Teaching Unit at ETSAM Madrid School of Architecture (UPM), researcher and author. COLL-BARREU ARQUITECTOS researches, designs and builds innovative and sustainable architecture. In addition, they work on theory, culture, art and communication. Their project and research work has been widely published, and exhibited in the leading architecture galleries in the world such as the Skyscraper Museum in New York, Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Canada’s Design Museum in Toronto, Archizoom in Lausanne. Currently, COLL-BARREU ARQUITECTOS develops human environments for public and private functions in different locations and diverse sizes.
